MAHJONG OPEN PLAY
Ready to get more time at the Mahjong table?
We’re adding structured Mahjong Open Play at Yin Soul Co for players who already know the basics and want a fun place to practice, play, and meet other Mahjong lovers.
When you register, you’ll choose one of two groups:
NEWER PLAYER — GUIDED OPEN PLAY
For players who know the basic rules and Charleston but may still need occasional help with the card, exposures, jokers, strategy, or game flow.
Please note: this is not a Learn to Play class. You should have already taken a beginner class or know the basics of American Mahjong.
EXPERIENCED PLAYER — INDEPENDENT OPEN PLAY
For players who are comfortable playing independently, understand the Charleston, exposures, jokers, scoring, and can keep the game moving without instruction.
Our newer-player tables *may* rotate once during the session so you have the opportunity to play with different people.
Space is limited and advance reservations are required. We’ll also have a waitlist available if a session fills.
Because Mahjong is played in groups of four, cancellations and no-shows can affect an entire table. If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible.
